ABOUT ME

My name is Erin and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida; I have been in the field of mental health for over ten years. I have a master's degree in clinical psychology, and I specialize in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety, and Phobias. I am passionate about my work and I love what I do. My experience encompasses field work, private practice, research labs, and neurological centers. In addition, I have over 5 years of experience working at a clinic offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care for OCD, anxiety, and phobias. These levels of care are meant for people who experience extreme impairment due to their mental health concerns. I aim to bring the skills that I have gained at these higher levels of care to the outpatient setting, working with people who could benefit from once weekly or biweekly sessions. I am a candid therapist who is both gentle and direct with my clients. I often use humor in session where appropriate and, though I use humor, I take the progress of each of my clients seriously. It is important to me that they see improvement, so I regularly monitor for change and adjust treatment recommendations as necessary. I only use well-researched and evidenced-based treatments. I keep myself up to date on changes in the field, and seek to ensure that all of the treatment I use is what is currently considered "best practice."

It can be nerve-racking to begin this first step toward better mental health, especially if you feel unsure how a therapist can help or who to choose. Take hope in the knowledge that even if you realize I may not be a good fit for you, there are many therapists who specialize in all areas of mental health out there, and you can get help.
